Join the Winds for a midsummer night’s concert at the Panza Gallery, one of Millvale’s treasures! In addition to the signature piece of Mendelssohn, the concert features music of an outdoor character by the late Pennsylvania composer Vincent Persichetti and a dashing program opener by Stephanie Simon, a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. Two pieces pay tribute to the setting: a miniature by Millvale native Catherine Pietrusinski and a colorful work by Croatian composer Mladen Pozajic in celebration of the Vanka murals at St. Nicholas Church. The concert concludes with three Brazilian dances written for the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet. Reception following the concert is included in the ticket price.

Thank you to Mark Panza for hosting this concert!
