The Renaissance City Winds’ reed trio (oboe, clarinet, and bassoon) will open the newly-renamed Johnstown Concert Series on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 7:30pm. The program will include French music by Jacques Ibert and Ange Flégier, a selection of Renaissance dances, and a commissioned work from American composer Robert Washburn. Performing in the trio will be Renate Sakins, oboe; Jack Howell, clarinet; and R. James Whipple, bassoon.
The series was formerly called the Chamber Music Series of Greater Johnstown.
